In this activity, I wrote a chronicle about an iconic character. I chose David Mackenzie Ogilvy because he is one of the most important figures in advertising history. David Ogilvy was a British advertising executive known as the “Father of Advertising.” He founded the agency Ogilvy & Mather and created innovative campaigns that changed the way brands communicate with people. Throughout his career, he focused on creativity, research and clear communication. He believed that advertising should be informative and persuasive, but also honest. In my chronicle, I described his life, achievements and his impact on the advertising industry. I also reflected on how his ideas are still relevant today, especially for students like me who are learning about advertising. This activity helped me improve my writing skills in English and express ideas in a more descriptive and structured way. In my opinion, learning about iconic figures like David Ogilvy is important because it inspires cr...

Virtual Job Interview

In this activity, I recorded a video simulating a virtual job interview. The objective was to practice how to communicate in English in a professional situation. In the video, I answered typical interview questions about my personal information, skills, strengths and future goals. This helped me practice how to introduce myself and speak clearly in English. At first, I felt nervous because I was speaking alone in front of the camera. However, after practicing, I felt more confident and comfortable. This activity helped me improve my pronunciation, fluency and confidence when speaking English. It also taught me how to prepare for a real job interview. In my opinion, recording the video was a great experience because I could see my progress and identify things I need to improve. URL: https://youtu.be/pLADO9Asrg0?si=0uHqkXEu9dYrHEGa

Crime and Punishment

Imagen
Crime is a problem that affects many societies around the world. It creates insecurity and impacts people's quality of life. Punishment is necessary to maintain order and justice. However, it is also important to understand the causes of crime. Some common causes include poverty, lack of education and limited opportunities. These factors can lead people to make bad decisions. In my opinion, punishment alone is not enough. Governments and society should focus on prevention, education and social support to reduce crime. Creating better opportunities can help people choose a different path and improve society as a whole.

CRITICAL THINKING AND MEDIA LITERACY

Imagen
In today's digital world, we are constantly exposed to information through social media, news and the internet. For this reason, critical thinking is very important. It allows us to analyze, question and evaluate the information we receive instead of believing everything we see. Media literacy helps us understand how content is created and shared. It also teaches us to identify fake news, manipulation and unreliable sources. In my opinion, developing these skills is essential, especially for young people, because it helps us make better decisions and have a clearer understanding of reality. As a student, I think it is important to always verify information and think before sharing content online.
